Romania proposes unfolding a mission of the “Community of Democracies” in Moldova
Romanian Foreign minister, Mihai Razvan Ungureanu launched the proposal of unfolding an international mission of the “Community of Democracies” in Moldova, following the similar model of that organized in 2005 in Georgia.
According to a press release of MFA from Bucharest, the mission must support the Government from Chisinau in its effort of strengthening the democratic institutions and administrating some specific problems of the governing process. The Romanian part has expressed its availability to support the organization of the mission by offering resources and qualified personnel.
The “Community of Democracies” is an initiative which gathers an important number of UN member countries engaged in protecting and promoting democratic norms and values in the whole world.
