Opening the Cabinet's meeting today, Prime Minister Pavel Filip announced that the first €60 million installment of the total €150 million loan offered by Romania has arrived in Chisinau, IPN reports.
“Tomorrow I will have the opportunity to personally thank Romania's Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos who is coming to Chisinau. But, beside the fact that we can always feel Romania's support, the provision of this first tranche means that Moldova is fulfilling its commitments, promoting insistently the reforms that will enable us to modernize our economy and our overall living”, stated Pavel Filip.
The loan is offered for a period of five years at an interest rate of 1.5%.
