Romania provides €158,000 for creating the Integrated System of Sustainable Development of the Beekeeping Sector of Moldova. The goal of the project is to develop a system for purchasing, storing, processing and packing honey products at regional level and for developing the melliferous potential by creating a modern marketing system.
The memorandum concerning the implementation of the project was signed in Edinet on June 12, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau.
Within the project, the capacities of 100 beekeepers to use programs to implement international quality standards will be developed by 10 seminars and a fact-finding visit to Romania. The successful implementation of the project will allow multiplying it in the other development regions of Moldova.
