Romania offers €10m to Moldova

The Republic of Moldova will get a grant of €10 million from Romania. The financing agreement for providing direct budget support was signed by the Ministry of Finance and the Romanian Agency for International Development (RoAid), IPN reports.

The money will be used to achieve international development cooperation and humanitarian aid goals, especially to overcome the economic crisis generated by the war in Ukraine. There were identified urgent needs for solving the problems experienced by the Republic of Moldova in the management of crisis situations and in the energy sector by such indispensable measures as the purchase of natural gas and coal and other energy efficiency measures.

In the name of the Ministry of Finance, the agreement was signed by secretary general Dina Roșca, while director general Daniela Maria Dobre signed on behalf of RoAid.
