Romania has extra electricity and can share it with Moldova: Transelectrica

Romania has 1,590 MW of extra power, which it can export, according to Romanian electricity carrier Transelectrica. The extra power can be lent or sold to other countries where there are interconnection lines, as Moldova, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia and Ukraine, Info-Prim Neo quotes the Romanian info portal standard.ro. The net power output was 56.46 TWh in 2008, more than 56.37 TWh in 2007, Transelectrica's data show. Transelectrica runs 77 power transforming stations, with a capacity of 35,506 MVA 8,950 km of power lines of 110 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV and 750 kV.
