Romania appoints new consul to Moldova
Radu Bajenaru has been appointed as a new Romanian consul to Chisinau. He is a diplomat with 30 years of experience, writes “Romanian libera,” quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Radu Bajenaru has been working in the foreign ministry since 1980.
Earlier Anterior Bajenaru was a deputy consul at the Romanian Consulate in Sydney (1988-1991,) a deputy consul at the Romanian Consulate in Istanbul (1992-1994), a general consul at the Romanian Consulate in Istanbul (1997-2001). From 2004 to 2007 he was headed the consular section of the Romanian Embassy from Belgrade. From March, 2007 he has been the director of the National Visa Center.
Bajenaru has been appointed after Romanian consul to Chisinau Ion Nuica had resigned on July 13 after a sex-related scandal.
