Romania allows transporting containers with Moldovan goods through Constanța port

Romania’s Black Sea port Constanta is taking over supplementary traffic of containers that can no longer reach the ports of Ukraine, primarily Odessa.

“To ensure the delivery of these goods to the destination points, we asked the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania to allow transport operators of the Republic of Moldova to take over these containers from Constanța port, including to transport these without the required special authorizations,” the Ministry of Transport and Regional Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova noted in a press release.

To facilitate the transfer from Constanta to Moldova and Ukraine, Romania’s authorities set up a road transport corridor from Constanta port to the Albita custom point with Moldova, waiving any duties for the transport companies using it. Two authorized corridors and the waivers can be seen here.
