Rodica Verbeniuc decided to step down as the director general of the Investment Agency “Invest Moldova” for personal reasons. The application to quit on July 30 was submitted on June 21, IPN reports.

“Three years ago, I accepted with increased enthusiasm the invitation to return to the Republic of Moldova to take over a government institution with an honorable mandate to put into practice the strategies for promoting our country so that it takes a position on the global economic market, attracts foreign investment and supports the national exporters in their efforts to enter foreign markets and increase Moldova’s attractiveness as a tourist destination with authentic experience,” said Rodica Verbeniuc, noting the wish to balance her life and career priorities made her decide to return to the family as she is sure that the team of upright professionals of the Investment Agency is ready to further put to good use the achieved results.

Rodica Verbeniuc was named director general of “Invest Moldova” on July 20, 2018, having over 20 years’ experience of work in the private sector after managing public relations, strategic and crisis communication at a multinational IT corporation.
