The road sectors that pose a threat to traffic in winter are being monitored so as to intervene immediately in emergencies. The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure said the situation on all the national roads was satisfactory in the evening of December 17, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry, the roadway in northern and central districts is humid and icy in parts, while in the southern Moldova it is dry. Patrolling and anti-icing works were performed on December 17, with 88 special vehicles and 79 road workers being involved in the spreading of 728.4 tonnes of antiskid substances.
