Over 120 snowplows cleaned the streets last night as a result of the heavy precipitation and high winds. Head of the operational service of the State Road Administration Sergiu Capatana has told IPN that all the roads at this hour are passable in all directions.

The heaviest precipitation fell in the northern and central districts of the country. The districts of Briceni, Ocnita, Sangerei, Falesti, Orhei, Telenesti, Ialoveni, Hancesti and Chisinau municipality were the most affected. In southern Moldova, precipitation fell in the districts of Causeni and Stefan Voda.

Almost 2 tonnes of antiskid material were spread on the roads.
