The organizers of the Chisinau International Marathon said the municipal public transport routes will be modified. Thus, on April 16 the section of Stefan cel Mare Blvd between the streets Banulescu Bodoni and Alexandr Pushkin will be closed to traffic between 10am and 12 noon in connection with the running contest Kids Run Day by Nordic. On April 17, when the Marathon will take place, the public transport will run on modified routes until 4pm, IPN reports.
Thus, for the 3 km race, there will be closed the Great National Assembly Square – Stefan cel Mare Blvd – Tighina St – 31 august 1989 St – Banulescu-Bodoni St – the Great National Assembly Square. For the 10 km race (one tour), 21 km race (two tours) and 42 km race (4 tours), there will be closed the Great National Assembly Square – Stefan cel Mare Blvd – Ciuflea St – Dacia St up to Trandafirilor St – Dacia St – Ciuflea St – Stefan cel Mare Blvd up to Toma Ciorba St – the Great National Assembly Square (arrival).
The Chisinau administration said the trolleybuses, buses and minibuses will travel on adjoining streets.
The Organizational Committee of the Chisinau International Marathon calls on the people to treat the changes in the public transport routes with indulgence. By 6pm on April 17, all the routes will be restored.
