A renovated road that is almost 600 meters long in Greblești village of Strășeni district became available for use on October 12. The regional road will enable the residents to more comfortably travel to the neighboring villages Romanești and Recea. The inaugural ceremony involved Prime Minister Pavel Filip, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
The Premier said the development of infrastructure in the country will continue. “It will be a project that will cover the entire Republic of Moldova. First of all, we will lay emphasis on roads in communists and on those that form the nationals infrastructure. I want to assure you that the length of these roads in kilometers will annually increase,” stated Pavel Filip.
The rehabilitation works performed through the program “Good Roads for Moldova” costs 1.7 million lei.
A local road of over 500 meters in Greblești was renovated earlier this year. More than 2 million lei was needed to asphalt this section. The district council contributed 1.2 million lei, while the local mayor’s office about 800,000 lei.
The national program “Good Roads for Moldova” envisions the rehabilitation of 1,200 km of local roads in 1,200 communities. The investments will total 1.6 billion lei. Recently, proposals started to be collected as regards the repair of road sections that will be included in the program “Good Roads for Moldova 2” for 2019.
