The road that connects the artery and the summer camps in Vadul lui Voda was damaged by the rain and became impassable, the town’s mayor Iurie Onofreiciuc said in the meeting of the Commission for Emergencies.

Contacted by IPN, the mayor said that they repaired a part of the road so as to enable the vehicles that supply the camps with food to pass.

“The road is in a very bad state. The rain washed away the asphalt and the gravel from beneath. Minor repair works were carried out, but serious investment is needed,” said Iurie Onofreiciuc.

The road needs to be fully restored on a portion of 200 meters.
