The street that connects the capital city and the Chisinau International Airport will be lit. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the relevant subdivisions to deal with the lighting of this road first, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The road section from the airport to the city is lit in all the European cities that respect themselves,” said the mayor. The head of the lighting company IM “Lumteh” Nicolae Vereshko said the designing and installation works were estimated at 10 million lei. They proposed a classical lighting scheme – a line in the middle and illumination on two sides. There will be used light emitting diodes. Dorin Chirtoaca asked discussing with economic entities that can become involved in the project. He said that this road section should be repaired as it is the face of Moldova. He voiced hope the Government will also engage as it is a road of national importance.
