Road accidents leave seriously injured persons
Five of six persons injured in traffic accidents, which occurred Tuesday November 7 in Chisinau, are pedestrians.
Inspector of the Security Service of Chisinau Traffic Police Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that three of the accidents had occurred around 6.00-8.00 pm. At 6.30, on Calea Basarabiei street, a Nissan-Micra car, driven by a woman, hit a 48-year-old man native of Pistrueni village, Telenesti raion. The victim suffered mental shock and fracture to his right knee.
At 7.00 pm, a Toyota car hit at intersections of Cuza Voda and Dacia boulevards a young girl aged 20, who was left with an injury to her thigh.
On Calea Orheiului street, at 7.30 pm, a Volkswagen-Transporter hit a man aged 46, who was hospitalized with injuries to his internal organs.
Another two pedestrians, a 25-year-old young man, hit on Costiujeni street by a Moskvici-408 car, and a woman aged 63, hit by a Toyota car on Calea Ieşilor street, were hospitalized with mental shock.
Six road accidents that resulted in 6 injured persons and 4 car collisions were registered on Tuesday. Police inspectors initiated 512 proceedings against persons breaking the Traffic Regulations, including 80 speedings, 12 intoxicated drivers.
