One person died and five have been injured in six traffic accidents, occurred in Chisinau municipality on holidays. Inspector of the traffic security service of the Traffic Police, Ion Roscovanu, told Info-Prim Neo that a tragic road accident occurred on January 6, at 7.15 pm, near Stauceni village. Semion Saracuta, aged 55, resident of this village, was crossing the road when he was deadly hit by a VAZ-21099 automobile. On January 7, police inspectors registered in Chisinau two road accidents – a pedestrian and an obstacle collision. Another two road accidents, which resulted in two injured persons, occurred in Chisinau on Monday, at 5.30 pm. Thus, on Chisinau-Vadul lui Voda roadway, 200 m far from the entrance to Tohatin village, a Honda Civic car, driven by a 37 year old, native of Baltata vilage, has struck a cart at high speed. As a result of the impact, the wife of Honda’s driver has suffered wounds. The woman, 30, has received injuries to her right arm. Another woman aged 60 has received head trauma and mental shock after she was hit by a Renault 19 automobile on Independentei Street. On Monday, police officers have drawn up 329 reports, including 76 for speeding and 10 for driving inebriated.
