Two men were crushed to death under the wheels of cars on Sunday evening. Ion Roscovanu, senior inspector of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the first accident occurred in Cahul town at about 18.00. A Volkswagen-Jetta car driven by a man aged 50 struck a pedestrian who was jaywalking. The second man whose identity has not been yet established was hit by a Volkswagen-Transporter minibus at the entrance to Straseni town at 21.20. The young man aged about 20-25 died on the spot. He was dressed in jeans, green sweater and black sneakers. The police are investigating the two cases. The Traffic Police call on the Chisinau drivers not to travel along the main arteries during the next days as there will be convoys of foreign officials visiting the capital city. The three road accidents that happened in Moldova on Sunday resulted in two deaths and two persons injured. Ten accidents caused no victims.
