Road accident leaves seven passengers severely injured
Seven passengers of a minibus from the capital, including four children, have been injured in a traffic accident, occurred on Wednesday morning, Info-Prim Neo informs.
According to the inspector of the traffic safety, administrative supervision and public relations service of the Chisinau Traffic Police, Ion Roscovanu, the accident occurred at 8.30 AM, at the crossing of Independentei and Teilor streets. A Mercedes-208D minibus, route no. 104, collided with a Mercedes-310D minibus, route no. 175. As a result of the impact, seven passengers of the first minibus were traumatized. Four of them were children.
A three-year-old girl suffered severe bruising, a minor aged 11 – suffered a head concussion, another minor of 12 – a mental shock, and a boy aged 8 – a bruise on his face.
In the same accident, a passenger aged 39 suffered a badly fractured nose, another person of 31– mental shock, and the third person aged 33 – suffered a concussion to his knee.
Also on Wednesday, on different streets of the capital, there were injured four pedestrians, two of them, a pensioner of 73, and a young girl of 26, were under the influence of alcohol.
23 traffic accidents were reported on Wednesday. 12 persons have been injured. The police officers have drawn up 378 reports for different infringements of the Traffic Regulations, 80 of whom for speeding, 14 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
