A man was killed when he was crushed under the wheels of a minibus driven by a drunk driver. According to the Traffic Police, the accident happened on Malina Mica St in Chisinau on Sunday evening. The man, 59, was struck by the minibus when he was crossing the street. He died on the spot. The driver left the scene. Shortly afterward, the police discovered the Mercedes minibus involved in the accident and the drunken driver aged 36. Three persons received serious injuries in a collision between a Huyndai and a minibus on the Chisinau-Leuseni route. The driver of the car aged 34 suffered an associated trauma and fractures of the legs and of the left forearm. A 26-year-old passenger of the minibus got his left shank fractured, while a 19-year-old woman traveling in the same minibus suffered a concussion. All the victims were taken to the Emergency Hospital. A taxi 1447 collided with a Mercedes minibus running on route No. 174 at the intersection of Columna and Mihai Viteazu streets. A passenger of the minibus aged 39 sustained a concussion and was rushed to the Emergency Hospital. A BMW struck a 79-year-old pensioner at the intersection of Bucuresti and Bulgara streets. The old man was hospitalized with an associated trauma, fractures of the pelvic bones and shank and head injuries. The six road accidents that happened in Moldova on Sunday, January 31, resulted in one death and six persons injured.
