Rise in excise duties on diesel oil will not affect farmers
The increase in excise duties on diesel oil planned next year so that they are in line with the excises duties on gasoline will not affect the agricultural producers, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
He said that only 150,000 tonnes of the 450,000 tonnes of diesel oil imported into Moldova are used in the agricultural sector.
“We will find possibilities to cover the difference between the current excise duty of 700 lei per tonne and the excise duty of 1,200 lei that would be used next year,” the minister said.
Valeriu Cosarciuc added that an estimated 75 million lei will be needed for the purpose.
