The Riscani Health Center was equipped with ultrasound equipment under the "Kusanone" Program, funded by the Government of Japan. The investment amounts to almost 46 thousand dollars, IPN reports.
At the completion ceremony, Japanese Ambassador Yamada Yoichiro Yamada thanked medical workers for their selfless, tireless work for the society. He also mentioned recent events, saying that the Republic is surrounded and supported by friends.
"Recently you have chosen your future wisely. I see that the Russian government and its agents are still trying to bring this country back into its orbit. Now please see clearly what is at stake. Japan will continue to support your efforts as you move forward", the ambassador said.
The event was attended by the president of the Risccani district, Vladimir Mizdrenco, the director of the Risccani Health Center, Gabriela Sandu, and medical staff.
The Kusanone human security grant program was launched in Moldova in 2008. To date, Japan has provided grants worth 7.6 million dollars for 92 projects in the fields of education, health and public utilities.
