The State Tax Service in 2016 collected by 11% (+2.7bn lei) higher revenues into the national public budget that a year before. These came to 27.6bn lei, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Service says the task was to collect 27.35bn lei, but it collected by 272m lei more.

Into the state budget, the State Tax Service collected 11.5bn, up 1.2bn lei on 2015. There were gathered by 35.5m lei more than it was projected.

The amounts collected into the budgets of the territorial-administrative units in 2016 were also larger than a year before – 3.2bn lei or by 360m lei more.

The revenues of the state social insurance budget added up to 9.6bn lei or by 737m lei more (+8%) than in 2015, while of the mandatory health insurance funds to 3.1bn lei or by 387m lei (+14%) more.
