Vladimir, the Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and All Moldova, in his message on the Lord’s  Resurrection said that this holy day, the feast of feasts, unites heaven with earth, giving us all an opportunity for spiritual joy and happiness. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the desired and saving feast day, “the ground of peace, the cause of reconciliation, cessation of wars and defeat of death.”

The Metropolitan Bishop encourages parishioners, in the middle of Easter night, being full of courage and spiritually heartened, to gather near the Holy Altar – the symbol of the Tomb of the Crucified and Risen One. “By participating in the Eucharistic Divine Liturgy, we continually discover the fundamental meaning of the Cross and the Resurrection because “through the Cross joy came to everyone”, and this state of joy can be perpetuated in our being, if we are present at the Lord’s Supper. Here we are filled with peace and light, love and reconciliation because Christ, who brought peace among His disciples, also fills our hearts with grace and holiness, His Eminence Vladimir noted in his pastor message.  

“Our fatherly exhortation to all the sons and daughters of the Holy Orthodox Church of Moldova, those who are at home and those who are far away from the country, is the following: “Rejoice in the Lord always, my brothers, and again I say, Rejoice!”

His Eminence Vladimir wished to everyone blessed Easter holidays spent with the family and the close ones, in peace and forgiveness, in harmony and holy love.
