Residual water treatment station to be built on Uzinelor St in Chisinau

A residual water treatment station will be constructed at the waste dump situated on Uzinelor St in Chisinau. The works are under way and will last for about half a year, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the investments that will be made from the municipal budget will come to 4.3 million lei. Water treatment equipment to the value of 10.4 million lei was bought at the first phase of the project in 2017.

The residual water generated by the solid household waste stored at the waste dump on Uzinelor St affect the farmland and yards of the inhabitants of Bubuieci commune. There will be built two ponds – one for collecting residual water and another one for treating this. The treated water will reach the sewerage system.
