Mayoral elections will take place in Ucrainca village of Causeni district on November 10. Secretary of the Central Election Commission Andrei Volentir has told IPN that there are three candidates for mayor on the list, namely the candidate of the PLDM Ion Crivoi, aged 51, the candidate of the PCRM Nicolae Banari, 53, and the candidate of the PDM Rodica Odainic, 49.

As many as 1,300 people eligible to vote are expected to take part in the polls. The costs were assessed at almost 19,000 lei.

The term in office of the mayor of Ucrainca Vladimir Iurco ended before time owing to his resignation. He was elected mayor in the local elections of 2011, when he ran as an independent.
