Owners of motor vehicles from six localities of Căușeni district can ask for neutral-design license plates. The amendments to the law on the registration of units of transport and other legal acts took effect on January 4, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, following the made amendments the owners of motor vehicles who live in Gîsca, Chițcani, Zahorna, Merenești and Cremenciug villages of Căușeni district will also benefit from the mechanism for issuing vehicle owners with neutral-design license plates.

The units of transport in the given villages will be registered at the offices of the Public Services Agency of Moldova based in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa.

On September 1, 2018, following agreements reached in the negotiations between Chisinau and Tiraspol, two points for registering Transnistrian motor vehicles were opened in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa. There, the owners of vehicles can apply for neutral-design license plates that ensure access to international traffic.
