The inhabitants of Causeni town will elect again their mayor on July 31 as the court invalidated the June 19 elections. New elections will also take place in Sofia village of Hancesti district and in Climautii de Jos, Soldanesti. Central Election Commission secretary Andrei Volentir has told Info-Prim Neo that the elections represent a rerun of the June 19 second round of voting, which was declared invalid because the lists of candidates were inaccurate and the right to secret ballot or the procedure for using the mobile box were violated. The Commission recommended placing curtains around the voting booths so as to avoid possible changeless after the elections. About 30,000 lei will be spent on rerunning the elections in the three settlements.
