Requests for financing from intervention fund at over 9m lei

The central and local public authorities have requested over 9.4 million lei in financing from the Government’s intervention fund for dealing with the consequences of this April’s snowstorms and the June 26 calamities. According to the head of the Ministry of Finance’s communication service Nadejda Balan, the Ministry agreed a draft decision to allocate these funds. The decision is to be approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.

Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu has told IPN that among the authorities that asked for financial support for dealing with the consequences of the natural disasters are the Cimislia mayor’s office, the Drochia mayor’s office, the Ungheni district council and state institutions that took part in the alleviation of the consequences of tempests.

Over 9 million lei was accumulated into the Ministry of Finance’s accounts. The citizens can donate and can follow online the process of collecting financial assistance for dealing with the consequences of this April’s heavy snowfalls on the Ministry’s website.
