Republic’s Day festivities more modest this year
The official reception on the Republic’s Day marked on August 27 this year will be more modest than the previous years. The costs will be covered from the budget allocations for maintaining the Government’s Apparatus, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The Apparatus of the Government cut the spending by 22% and will have to cut it more,” Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi said.
The previous years, the money for organizing the reception was allocated from the Government’s reserve fund. In 2009, this money was spent long ago.
The receptions held by Moldova’s embassies abroad will also be more modest as they will be organized without additional financing from the Government. “The receptions must take place, but will be organized with the budget resources allotted to embassies,” the Premier said.
