The Political Executive Committee of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) decided to call a meeting of the party’s Republic Council for this weekend. The agenda of the meeting includes the convocation of the party’s congress that is to be held by the end of this year, IPN reports, quoting a press release of PSRM.
In its meeting, the Political Executive Committee also decided to strengthen the party’s central team. Maxim Lebedinschi will be in charge of the legal sector, while Olga Cebotari, ex-deputy prime minister for reintegration, of foreign relations.
According to the press release, the Committee analyzed the last controversial decisions taken by the new regime and their negative effects on the people. A worrisome tendency as regards rises in the prices of most of the products was ascertained. The Socialists also mentioned the faults in the management of the pandemic crisis when the government stages parades and concerts on which sums of millions of lei are spent from the state budget, while the education personnel are obliged to cover the cost of testing for COVID-19 themselves.
