A sum of 16.5 million lei was allocated from the extra-budgetary fund for textbooks and from the budget of the Ministry of Education for reprinting textbooks this year. Director of the special fund for textbooks Gheorghe Garnet has told IPN that there were reprinted 22 textbook titles for primary, secondary and lyceum education.

Most of the titles were reprinted for the eleventh grade (12 titles) and for the first grade (7 titles). For the first time there was printed the textbook “Civic Education” for twelfth graders.

In order to improve the quality of the process of studying the Romanian language in institutions teaching in the languages of the national minorities, there was reprinted the textbook “Romanian language and literature” for the eleventh grade.

The textbooks in Moldova are reprinted once in five years.
