Report on Moldova to be presented in Paris tomorrow
MPs Ana Gutu and Grigore Petrenco will take part in the meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that will take place in Paris on May 19.
The meeting will center on the fulfillment of the commitments and obligations assumed by Moldova, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina when joining the Council of Europe, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Parliament.
The report will be presented by the PACE co-rapporteurs for Moldova who had paid a fact-finding visit to Chisinau during April 5-6.
The Monitoring Committee will examine the functioning of the democratic institutions in Azerbaijan, the state of democracy in Europe, the consequences of the war between Georgia and Russia, the post-monitoring dialogue with Turkey and other issues.
