Repairing Parliament, Presidency to cost at least 300 M lei

The preliminary expenditures to repair the buildings of the Parliament and the Presidency, devastated on April 7, are assessed at over 300 million lei. The amount does not include the broken furniture and equipment, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Moldovan Presidency. This information has been presented by the Constructions Minister Vladimir Baldovici, at a seating convened by the president in office, Vladimir Voronin, the leader of the Communists Party. Vladimir Voronin has asked that the revamping should be started immediately. “The consequences of the acts of vandalism are to be liquidated from the money that has been allotted for the education institutions, the representatives of which participated in the April 7 actions,” reads the communique. The Finance Ministry will perform the re-channeling of the means for the reconstruction. 40 million lei were taken from the state budget for the April 5 parliamentary elections.
