The repair works performed annually in education institutions in Chisinau municipality are late. In the corresponding period last year, the repair works were in full swing. Now they are yet to be launched, after the results of the public tender contests are made public. The delay is due to the late approval of the 2016 municipal budget, IPN reports.

The head of the Chisinau General Davison of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said that cosmetic repair works started in 18 institutions. As regards the capital repair works, for which 41 million lei was allocated, these are to begin when the results of the public tender contests become known.

The works will be carried out throughout August. Effort will be made for them to be completed in time so that the education process is not affected, stated the official.

Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb also said that almost 14,000 children have attended summer camps so far. There were reported no incidents. The camps are preparing to welcome the last groups of children.
