The international festival “Queen of Music” is taking place in Moldova for the first time between September 27 and October 3. Famous violinists and musicians from Moldova and abroad are participating in it, Info-Prim Neo reports. Initiated by Moldovan people's artists Dumitru and Vasile Goia, the festival is dedicated exclusively to the violin music and is aimed at promoting young talents and talents of the Bessarabian school. “The idea of organizing the festival dedicated exclusively to the violin appeared long ago. We are glad that the organization of this festival, which is very important for the Moldovan culture, became possible owing to the support offered by a number of persons. The festival is designed to make the best Moldovan young violinists known in the country and abroad,” said Vasile Goia, conductor, composer and people's artist. National and foreign violinists, students and graduates of the Chisinau high school “Ciprian Porumbescu” will participate in the festival. “Our school revealed many talented young musicians. Moldova is proud of the young persons who will take part in the festival. There will be performed extraordinary pieces of music,” said Galina Buinovschi, violin teacher at “Ciprian Porumbescu”. The festival will be housed by the National Philharmonic, the Organ Hall and the National Palace. The different styles of compositions will be presented at the festival – classical, baroque, cafe-concert, fiddler's music, solo violin and violin accompanied by piano, violoncello, harp, organ, orchestra, etc. The festival opened at the Organ Hall on September 27 with a concert by teacher Galina Buinovschi and her pupils from “Ciprian Porumbescu”. Famous violinists from Romania, Israel, Czech Republic, the United States will perform at the festival. The guests from Israel Ilya Konovalov and Asaf Kleinmai will hold a concert at the Organ hall on September 29, while the trio of musicians Concertino Praga will perform on September 30. Alexandru Tomescu from Romania, Ilya Konovalov from Israel and violinist Alexandra Conunova from Moldova will perform on October 1, on the World Music Day. The festival will close with a gala concert by all the invited artists at the National Palace on October 3. Moldovan musicians Petru Rotaru, Simion Goia-Feraru, Oleg Vitliuc, Sandu Rotaru and Valeriu Cascaval will give a folk music concert.
