Renato Usatyi on TV8: Probability of snap elections is of 99%

The president of Our Party Renato Usatyi said the probability of holding snap parliamentary elections in Moldova is of 99%. According to him, if snap elections take place, some of the parties will have practically the same score, while others will seriously lose. The issue was developed in the talk show “Politics of Natalia Morari” on TV8 channel in which the politician took part through Skype from Moscow, IPN reports.

He noted that if snap elections are held, the Democratic Party will poll as many votes as in the recent elections. The Shor Party will have a lower score. The Bloc ACUM will also garner fewer votes, while the Party of Socialists will win at most 20-22 seats of MP, which is fewer than in the current Parliament.

Renato Usatyi said that for his party to gain at least 15 seats of MP in the eventual snap elections, he will have to return to Moldova so that he is arrested before the elections. “I must calculate everything very well as this case involves politics and my personal life. We will see if this brings plusses too,” stated the politician, referring to the possibility of about 15 persons from Our Party entering the legislature.

He stated his return to the Republic of Moldova depends on the people and he is now having discussions with his party mates on this issue as well.
