The fact that Vitalie Pirlog left the post of director of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) shows that the Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc’s problems with justice are very serious, chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatyi stated in the program “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.
“I understand that the leaving of the SIS by Pirlog means that Vladimir Plahotniuc’s problems with justice in a number of EU member states are very grave. Today Pirlog has a lot of work to do as he was assigned to this post to defend and protect his master,” stated Renato Usatyi.
He noted that Vitalie Pirlog didn’t leave INTERPOL while holding office as SIS director. The name of Vitalie Pirlog is more often associated with the Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc, which is inadmissible for INTERPOL. This clearly shows that Vitalie Pirlog is controlled by the Democratic Party given that he was proposed for the post of SIS director by the Democrats and was voted in by the parliamentary alliance controlled by the Democrats.
Political commentator Victor Ciobanu said that if Vitalie Pirlog’s dismissal is analyzed only from the angle of his statement, it can be deduced that a fissure occurred within the government. “I suspect the problems of the Moldovan government multiply and I think many already understand that this government is heading for a not very nice finish for it,” stated Victor Ciobanu.
Vitalie Pirlog submitted his resignation from the post of director of the Security and Intelligence Service to the Parliament’s secretariat on February 20. He was named to this post for a five-year term by Parliament on December 21, 2017.
