The chairman of the Political Party “Our Party”, mayor of Balti Renato Usatyi is convinced that the early parliamentary elections will be held next year. In the press club meeting “Social Resonance”, he said that the early elections are inevitable because it will be impossible to elect the head of state and Moldova, after the elections, will be governed by the “Our Party” and the Party of Socialists, IPN reports.

“I’m sure that early legislative elections will take place in September- October 2016. Surely, there are two scenarios for choosing a Premier. This will be a representative of the Democratic Party or will be Vlad Plahotniuc himself (ex-first deputy head of the PDM – e.n.). The Premier will be named on December 29-30, when the people have the festive tables laid and the relatives from abroad come home as the people then will not take to the streets,” stated the politicians.

Renato Usatyi said that the early parliamentary elections are now his goal. “We will not stay in the opposition for three more years even if Plahotniuc becomes Premier. They will not manage to stay in power for so long. If they manage to vote in a Premier, they will definitely not be able to elect the head of state,” said the leader of “Our Party”.

Renato Usatyi noted that after the elections he could establish a kind of partnership with Igor Dodon so that they formed together the parliamentary coalition and governed in concert. “But this does not mean that we would not name, for example, Andrei Nastase, of the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, as prosecutor general or that we would not discuss with Igor Botan and others from the Platform as there are upright persons there too,” stated the politician.

Renato Usatyi replied to those who criticize only Vlad Filat, not yet Vlad Plahotniuc, saying Plahotniuc is actually the biggest schemer in Moldova who formed an empire of prosecutors, judges and media outlets and began doing this when the Communists were in power, and Vlad Plahotniuc can be stopped only by people’s revolt.
