The leader of the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi” calls on all the mayors of Moldova’s settlements who want to improve the life of citizens to support their bloc in the snap parliamentary elections of July 11. He noted that in the future Parliament, the Bloc “Renato Usatîi” will be the main “engine” of changes for the local public authorities for improving the life of citizens, primarily of those from rural areas, IPN reports.
The Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi” will plead for liquidating district councils. Each village should receive money for infrastructure, depending on the number of inhabitants and the size of localities, regardless of the political affiliation of mayors. “All the districts remain in their place. The towns become municipalities and the villages from the district become part of these municipalities,” stated Renato Usatîi, noting that the water supply and sewerage services can no longer be local projects.
According to him, the mayors know best the changes that should be made to the legislation on public procurement, illegal constructions and privatization of land. The Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi” undertakes to install automated drugstores in each village. Also, 5% of the proceeds from the sale of cigarettes and alcoholic drinks will be directed to the development of sport and for the youth. 380 million lei a year will be directed to mayor’s offices.
Renato Usatîi noted that regional centers for the collection of vegetables, meat, fruit and others should be created in villages so as to reanimate these. The rural children’s camps should be reanimated too. The Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi” is the only electoral contender that will massively represent the local elected officials in Parliament.
