More than 100 old religious objects gathered from churches of Rezina district will be on display at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chisinau until May 3, on the occasion of the “Third Day of Easter” that is celebrated at the museum the 17th consecutive year. A special collection was brought from the Church “Protection of the Mother of God” located in Ciniseuti village of Rezina district, which has never been closed, IPN reports.
The head of the Museum’s exhibitions section Valentina Onofriescu, who is the coordinator of the exhibition, said that this exhibit was staged with the assistance of the Metropolitan Church of Moldova and Chisinau and the administration of the Archpriestship of Rezina district. “We managed to bring together objects from practically the whole Rezina district. The exhibits include icons, rare sacred books and other religious objects.
