The icon and a casket with the relics of Great Saint Martyr Pantelimon will be taken to the Ciuflea Monastery in Chisinau. The Moldovan Metropolitan Church said the relics will be brought on March 15, with the blessing of His Holiness Vladimir, Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova, IPN reports.
The relics will be met at 4pm. Afterward, there will be held the evening service. The icon and the relics will be present at the Ciuflea Monastery until March 22.
The Great Martyr and Healer Pantelimon lived in 275 - 303 a.d. He was martyred during the great persecution of Christians, which was ordered by Emperor Diocletian. He is considered the protector of doctors and the healer of the sick.
The Moldovan Metropolitan Church also said that after the Saint Liturgy on March 18, there will be held the Saint Maslu service.
