The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service is setting up rehabilitation points for persons who are on the street during the hottest period of the day. Tents to distribute water will be pitched in Chisinau, Balti, Cahul, and Comrat, IPN reports.
In Chisinau, there will be five such points, by one in each district. The Service’s press officer Liliana Puscasu has told IPN that two rehabilitation points will be set up in Balti, while in Cahul and Comrat by one. These will be available in the center of the towns and near markets.
The rehabilitation points will work on days with high temperatures, between 12 noon and 6pm. The people there will be able to drink water and to protect themselves from the sun. If need be, rescuers will provide first aid.
Liliana Puscasu added that the rehabilitation points will be available this week. If temperatures rise to over 35 degrees Celsius next week, the tents will be put up again.
