Rehabilitation center for persons with poor vision provides free services

The medical-social rehabilitation center for persons with poor vision “Low Vision” started work in Chisinau. It is financed by the Norwegian charity organization “Help Moldova” and provides services free of charge, Info-Prim Neo reports. The center’s director Tatiana Ghidirimschi said that up to 10 persons will be consulted every day initially. In several months, the number of patients will raise to 20 - 30 persons a day. “The institution will assess free of charge the functions of the visual apparatus, diagnose poor vision and prescribe visual aid devices (hyper eyeglasses, magnifying glass, telescope, etc.,” the president of “Help Moldova” Hans Bjorn Bakketeig said.
