Regulations on interaction of 112 Service with emergency services approved

The regulations concerning the interaction between the National Common Emergency Telephone Service 112 and the specialized emergency services was approved in a meeting of the Interdepartmental Coordination Committee. There were also approved the regulations concerning the organization and functioning of the Council of Experts under the Interdepartmental Coordination Committee, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Minister Kiril Gaburici, who heads the Interdepartmental Coordination Committee, discussed the measures taken to implement the National Common Emergency Telephone Service 112 with the Committee’s members, reiterating that this will be launched in an operational regime on March 29. The 112 Service could be contacted nonstop and free from any landline or cell phone.

The National Common Service 112 will ensure a higher speed of reaction to emergency calls by simultaneously involving a number of specialized services. The call processing time will be reduced to 40 seconds. After the European common emergency numbers 112 is activated, the numbers 901, 902 and 903 will function in parallel until the end of June.
