Regulations approved for Moldova’s delegation to JCC

The Government has endorsed regulations governing the activity of the delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Join Control Commission (JCC). Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov said that though the delegation has worked for 20 years, it is the first time that the executive approved such regulations. Until now, the delegation’s work was regulated by provisions of a number of normative documents, Info-Prim Neo reports. The regulations lay down the constitution principles, the composition, objectives and duties of the delegations to the JCC, the main being ensuring an increased security regime in the peacekeeping zone. It defines such aspects as the social, economic and financial protection of the delegation and the experts working on a permanent basis. The regulations give the employees of the Security and Information Service who work in the security area the same rights as regards the concessions provided by the legislation on social protection as those enjoyed by servicemen, civilians and reservists forming part of the military contingent and by the command corps of the internal affairs bodies. They will benefit from additional salary bonuses that they could not receive until now. Moldova’s delegation to the JCC consists of six members and six experts working on a permanent basis.
