Those who want to get a driver’s license will be able to register to take driving tests only through the agency of the Public Services Agency (PSA), through the relevant information system. A bill to this effect that was endorsed by the Cabinet is designed to prevent the illegal registration for taking exams, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Education and Research said the bill regulates the activities of driving schools and institutions that train road transport personnel.
The services to train drivers and road transport personnel could be provided only by legally constituted entities that have programs accredited by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research. Earlier, some of the institutions of the kind worked based on unauthorized programs of study and licenses.
For the first time, there will be introduced official taxes for training services. These taxes will be set by the administration boards of driving schools based on an expenditure estimate.
Those who will train drivers and personnel for the road transport sector will be obliged to possess a certificate of professional competence issued by accredited training centers.
