Citizens of the diaspora and those living in the Republic of Moldova can register, starting today, to participate in the 13th edition of the governmental DOR program "Diaspora, Origins, Returns", which will traditionally take place in August, IPN reports.
The Diaspora Relations Office notes that DOR is a program dedicated both to children and young people from the diaspora and the Republic of Moldova. The event is held under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, through the Diaspora Relations Office. The aim of the program is to establish emotional connection between citizens, promote and preserve values and traditions.
For the first time this year, the DOR Program will be held in two series. The first will take place from August 4-13, the second - from August 16-25.
To participate in the DOR Program, applicants from the diaspora, as well as from the Republic of Moldova, have to fill in a form. They should also send an e-mail to dor@gov.md with the subject "Contest_ DOR Program 2025".
Participants must be between 12 and 17 years of age and have good communication and comprehension skills in Romanian. At the same time, candidates who have never participated in the program before will be given priority in the registration, according to the "first come, first served" principle.
Participation in DOR is free of charge. All expenses are covered by the state budget, participants bear only transportation costs to and from Moldova.
Registration of participants will take place between March 24 and April 27.
