Referendum campaign will be used for early elections, Arcadie Barbarosie
The political parties that registered as participants in the campaign for the September 5 referendum did it with the aim of campaigning for the early legislative elections, the director of the Public Policy Institute Arcadie Barbarosie stated for Info-Prim Neo.
“In the meetings with the voters, the leaders of the parties will certainly tell the people either to take part or not to take part in the referendum. This depends on the party. In the campaign for the referendum, they will mostly speak about the early elections,” Arcadie Barbarosie said.
Asked why no posters for or against the referendum have been placed yet on billboards, Barbarosie said the parties do not have much money as they spent a lot in the two previous election campaigns. According to him, the posters for the referendum will be used mainly to promote the symbols of the parties rather than to encourage participation in the referendum.
