Red Cross in Moldova intends to promote actions supporting communication campaigns for HIV/AIDS prevention, promotion of humanitarian values, preparing the population for exceptional situation, preventing trafficking in human beings, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the head of the Red Cross in Moldova, Larisa Barca, the organization plans to act towards changing youth’s mentality and attitude on life and health. The first step to the realization of this goal is the photo exhibition “Open your Heart to the Red Cross", which will be displayed in the building of the “Licurici” Puppet Theater in the period between December 1 and 5. The exhibition will be opened between 9.00 and 18.00. It has an informing character and focuses its message on the young generation. More than 200 pictures will be displayed in the exhibition, illustrating the activity of the Red Cross and its volunteers. The Red Cross Society in Moldova is a humanitarian non profit apolitical organization operating on the entire territory of the country, including Transnistria. World AIDS Day is observed on December 1, this year being entitled “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise”.
