Weather forecasters issued a red code advisory for frost covering northern districts of Moldova. On February 11-12, the temperatures will drop to - 31°C, the head of the State Hydrometeorology Service Ilie Boian has told Info-Prim Neo. The red code is the most serious warning. It shows that the weather conditions are very dangerous and with extreme intensity. Significant damage and casualties are possible in such periods. The orange code and red code for cold weather were maintained for the rest of the districts. The temperatures will oscillate between - 25 and - 29 °C. There will be - 24°C at night in southern Moldova. Snow is forecast for February 13-17. In parts there will be blizzards and the wind will intensify to 15-20 m/s. Ilie Boian said the changes in the weather are due to the atmospheric warming.
